NUS builds new 3D printing capabilities for construction innovations

The NUS Centre for Additive Manufacturing launched its Construction 3D Printing Programme on 5 July 2018 with two research projects being carried out under the new programme. The first project is a novel toilet unit design that can be 3D printed in less than five hours and at 25 per cent cheaper than current construction processes. The second project is a 3D printed polymer formwork that can be used to construct up to 24 bathroom units a day.
