NUS Faculty of Dentistry offers new part-time post-graduate course to train dentists in treating elderly patients

The NUS Faculty of Dentistry has started a new part-time post-graduate programme in Jul 2019 to train dentists in delivering oral health care to the elderly in view of the ageing population, and improve students’ X-ray taking techniques through the use of Augmented Reality (AR). Its third-year students will get to better understand the elderly’s oral hygiene habits as well as issues, and educate them on oral health based on their needs, through a partnership between the Faculty with nursing homes and daycare centres in 2020.
