NUS study reveals premium seafood might be from cheap source

A team of researchers from the Dept of Biological Sciences at NUS Faculty of Science conducted DNA testing on fresh and frozen seafood samples taken from supermarkets and discovered that some local food manufacturers might not be entirely honest with their product labelling. They also found, among other mislabelled food items, the DNA of pigs present in five samples of food sold as cuttlefish balls and prawn balls.
