Prosthetics can sense touch with ‘electronic skin’ invention

Asst Prof Benjamin Tee and his team from the Dept of Materials Science and Engineering at NUS Faculty of Engineering have invented an artificial nervous system capable of detecting touches more than 1,000 times faster than the human equivalent, paving the way for smarter robots and prosthetic devices that possess a sense of touch.
