Raffles did not ‘discover’ Singapore

Assoc Prof Peter Borschberg from the Dept of History at NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences opined that the story of Raffles’ discovery of Singapore should be see less as a discovery, but as the most recent in the series of visions of the island.
