Singapore has substantial kitty to tide it through virus crisis

Mr Christopher Gee, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies at NUS, opined that a measured approach is very much in the Singapore government’s playbook when it comes to using financial reserves to tide through the virus crisis, but that the government has shown a willingness to scale up its fiscal stimulus considerably in the space of just over five weeks, in the light of fresh developments, and has indicated that more measures can be deployed if necessary.
