Structured support for cancer survivors 'reduces side effects'
Assoc Prof Alexandre Chan from the Dept of Pharmacy at the NUS Faculty of Science, together with researchers from National Cancer Centre Singapore, developed a structured programme for breast cancer survivors, which has been shown to drastically reduce post-treatment side effects like fatigue, appetite loss and body aches when it was tested here for the first time.
