Survival vs conquest: Eastern and Western philosophies and their consequences

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director from the East Asian Institute at NUS pointed out the differences between the Eastern and Western philosophies and opined that the Chinese never entertained the notion of conquering the world but the West does not believe that China is peaceful.
