Suzhou Mayor visits NUS

Mr Qu Futian, the Deputy Party Secretary of the Communist Party of China Suzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Suzhou Municipal Government paid a visit to NUS on 12 July.

Mr Qu and his delegation were given an overview of the University, including various educational highlights and strategies by Professor Tan Eng Chye, NUS Deputy President (Academic Affairs) and Provost. Professor Xu Guo Qin, Director of NUS-Suzhou Research Institute presented some ongoing research projects and areas of focus at the Institute.

The visitors shared some of the developments in Suzhou and measures taken to groom human resources. Mr Qu also expressed keen interest in exploring collaborations and strengthening relations with the University.
