The great powers and the rule of law
Prof Tommy Koh, Chairman of the Governing Board of the Centre for International Law at NUS opined that the record of whether great powers abide by the rule of law is a mixed one, and noted that it is in the interest of both small states and great powers to abide by international law. He also highlighted that great powers help to shape our institutions and formulate our rules, and that their interests are better served by a world of order rather than a world of anarchy.
