The UN Convention on the Law of the Sea: A revolutionary treaty

Prof Tommy Koh, Chairman of the Centre for International Law and Rector of Tembusu College, both at NUS, discussed the adoption of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea that introduced new concepts of international law and brought about a more equitable order to maritime rights, in conjunction with the treaty’s 37th anniversary.
