Tough sanctions not a solution to the North Korean predicament
Dr Zhang Yun from the East Asian Institute at NUS opined that the intensification of US, Japanese and South Korean sanctions on North Korea after it fired ballistic missiles in the Sea of Japan, would only push North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un into becoming more belligerent and lead to the further isolation of North Korea.
