What’s really in that bottle of hand sanitiser?

Hand sanitisers have become part of everyday life since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic. While this is an instant and convenient way to wash hands, there is no clear answer on what germs hand sanitisers actually kill, and whether they are safe for long-term use on skin. Assoc Prof Chan Lai Wah and Miss Tan Ying Ting from NUS Pharmacy shed light on what consumers should look out for when buying hand sanitisers.
