When corporate citizenship backfires on the company

Asst Prof Sam Yam Kai Chi from the Dept of Management and Organisation at NUS Business School discussed the findings from a series of studies by NUS Business School, conducted in collaboration with Oregon State University, University of Washington and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. The studies examined employees’ engagement in corporate citizenship activities, reasons for their involvement, and their sense of psychological entitlement as well as extent of deviant behaviour.
