From fighting climate change to illnesses — why mangroves are worth celebrating

July 26 has been adopted by the United Nations as the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem. Associate Professor Daniel Friess from NUS Department of Geography, who is also Deputy Director of the NUS Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions, highlights the many benefits of mangroves.
