Duke-NUS Class of 2017 graduates

The Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) graduation ceremony was held on 3 June, a joyous occasion that celebrated the achievements of its 61 graduates. Among the Class of 2017, 47 received their Doctor of Medicine degrees, nine received doctorate degrees, while five others received both.

Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) Ong Ye Kung graced the ceremony as its Guest-of-Honour, while Duke-NUS founding Dean, Professor Sanders Williams, now President of the Gladstone Institutes in the US, returned to deliver the keynote speech.

To the graduating students, Duke-NUS Dean Professor Thomas Coffman said, “As you go forth to complete your training and in your future efforts to transform medicine and improve patients’ lives, we at Duke-NUS will be celebrating your victories and accomplishments alongside you.”
