First Asian wins Zworykin Award

Professor Lim Chwee Teck from the NUS Department of Biomedical Engineering and the University's Mechanobiology Institute was presented with the Vladimir K. Zworykin Award in recognition of his outstanding research contributions in the field of medical and biological engineering. He is the first in Asia to be honoured with the award, which is given out by the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE) every three years. Prof Lim received his accolade at the World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering in Toronto, Canada on 7 June.
