Iceland President visits NUS

Dr Grimsson's public lecture, titled 'Clean Energy, Climate and the Arctic', was organised as part of the Yale-NUS College President's Speaker Series

The University hosted the visit of the President of Iceland, Dr O'lafur Ragnar Grimsson and his delegation on 13 November, where he met with Professor Tan Eng Chye, Deputy President (Academic Affairs) and Provost and Professor Tan Tai Yong, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs of Yale-NUS College (Yale-NUS). Mr Sam Tan, Minister of State, Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Manpower was also present during the visit.

Dr Grimsson later gave a public lecture titled "Clean Energy, Climateand the Arctic" at Yale-NUS, under the Yale-NUS College President's Speaker series, which focused on clean energy and sustainability.

Dr Grimsson was in Singapore for a three-day state visit, the first by an Icelandic president.
