Advanced skills help patients to resist diseases

Advanced Practice Nurse Dr Lee Yee Mei, who teaches at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies at NUS, is one of the recipients of the President’s Award for Nurses this year. The Assistant Director of Nursing, National University Hospital and Head, Nursing of National University Cancer Institute Singapore, Dr Lee is the first senior nurse clinician to perform bone marrow extraction in Singapore.
