Crisis in government-business ties and its root cause

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS opined that a root cause of corrupt behaviour is the improper relationship between the government and the business sector. He added that every country will need to explore new forms of government-business ties in accordance with the changing times, and an institutional change or even reconstruction would be the only choice, and that China is no exception.
