Extinct' bird rediscovered in Myanmar after more than 70 years

A team of scientists from NUS, the Wildlife Conservation Society and Myanmar's Nature and Wildlife Conservation Division has rediscovered Jerdon's babbler, a bird thought to be extinct, in Myanmar. The Dept of Biological Sciences at the NUS Faculty of Science has taken the bird's DNA samples to study if it should be considered a full species.
