Gift from 63,257 S’poreans to healthcare research

Emeritus Prof Lee Hin Peng, co-founding Principal Investigator of the Singapore Chinese Health Study (SCHS) and Prof Koh Woon Puay, Principal Investigator of the SCHS, both from the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS, highlighted that the true heroes of the SCHS are the 63,257 Singaporeans who generously shared information about their diet and lifestyle with the objective of helping to improve the well-being of fellow Singaporeans and future generations. They added that the contributions of the SCHS participants provide valuable data that forms a continuing legacy for future research.
