Global arbiter of animal names gets steady funds

The International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN), now based at the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum at NUS, has received a $1.35 million support in the form of the ICZN Secretariat Endowment Fund. The Fund will ensure the long term sustainability of the ICZN, and help it set up a secretariat to coordinate cases involving conflicts over animal’s scientific names.
