India calling

Assoc Prof Rahul Mukherji, Head of Research and Honorary Senior Fellow from the Institute of South Asian Studies at NUS noted that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has secured a "prophet-like" status among diasporic Indians in the last few months and highlighted that India's call to its diaspora is one of the most persuasive and successful aspects of Mr Modi's governance.
