Intelligent robot can aid doctors in surgeries

A team led by Asst Prof Ren Hongliang from the NUS Dept of Biomedical Engineering has developed a tubular robotic system for minimally invasive surgical procedures. This robotic system is among the 23 innovations which are featured at the NUS Science & Technology exhibition at the University Cultural Centre.

NUS President Prof Tan Chorh Chuan said in his speech at the launch on 9 April that visitors will get to view many innovative technologies and inventions at the exhibition, and that the University is proud that many of these have effectively addressed problems.
