“Knowledge cocoons”, social reconstruction and China’s future

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS looked at the process of social reconstruction in China in terms of ethics and morality and opined that these values are rapidly being eroded in Chinese society because of "knowledge cocoons". He added that if this situation continues, it would lead to differentiation and eventually, disintegration in the Chinese society.
