A new perspective on Hong Kong and Taiwan identity

Mr Yin Weiwen from the Centre on Asia and Globalisation at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS opined that to help foster the Chinese national identity among Chinese in Hong Kong and Taiwan, Mainland China needs to help them appreciate the tangible benefits of being part of China, instead of merely advocating GDP growth and an illusory concept of national identity.
