NUS researchers discover BNIP-H protein linked to rare genetic disorder

Assoc Prof Low Boon Chuan and Dr Sun Jichao from the Dept of Biological Sciences at the NUS Faculty of Science and the Mechanobiology Institute at NUS have discovered that the BNIP-H protein is linked to Cayman ataxia, a rare genetic disorder which affects a region of the brain involved in motor control.
