NUS study: Specially trained pharmacists can help diabetes patients cut medical costs
Two studies on pharmacist-managed care led by Assoc Prof Joyce Lee from the Dept of Pharmacy at NUS Faculty of Science found that people with type 2 diabetes who regularly saw Ambulatory Care pharmacists can expect 15 per cent cost saving and three-fold reduction in hospital admissions with pharmacist-managed care.
