“Political imagination” and the future of China

Prof Zheng Yongnian from the East Asian Institute at NUS opined that the growing popularity of cultural self-confidence in China appears to be an acceleration of westernisation in practice. He expressed concern that China would not be able to develop its own “political imagination” if the practice and belief are not aligned.
