Probing gene link to heart disease

A team of scientists led by Prof Stuart Cook of Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School has started a genetic study to find out whether the mutation of a gene called titin, which is linked to a heart condition called dilated cardiomyopathy in Caucasians, could be responsible for the illness in Asians as well.
