S’pore should aim to be model country for e-waste management

Prof Seeram Ramakrishna from the Dept of Mechanical Engineering at NUS Faculty of Engineering, and Chair of Circular Economy Taskforce at NUS, noted that waste from electrical and electronic equipment, or e-waste, is the fastest-growing waste stream globally and requires sophisticated e-waste management systems. He opined that there are abundant opportunities for innovations to enhance the recovery of valuables from the e-waste, and to eco-design products.
