Survey: Living costs in Singapore slightly lower than global median

An annual survey on living costs around the world conducted by the Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI) of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, has indicated that the cost of living for ordinary residents in Singapore is slightly lower than the global median point. Dr Tan Khee Giap, Co-Director of ACI, noted that unlike Western countries, the difference in living costs between expatriates and ordinary residents is more distinct in Asia.
