US professor lauded for studying health of Singapore Chinese for over 20 years

Dr Mimi Yu, co-founding Principal Investigator of the Singapore Chinese Health Study was accorded the inaugural Distinguished Service Award by the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS on 2 November 2017, for her invaluable contribution to the study. The study represents one of the largest population-based Asian cohorts in the world and its research has led to significant findings in areas such as cancer, diabetes and nutrition, which affect Singaporeans and regional populations.
