Using property prices to guide climate change policies

Dr Eric Fesselmeyer, Assoc Prof Liu Haoming and Assoc Prof Alberto Salvo from NUS Dept of Economics discussed how governments estimate the impact of costs and benefits of strategies to reduce carbon in climate change. The authors also shared findings from their study which focused on how Singapore's property market can provide a guide on discounting future benefits at a lower rate than currently adopted in many policy circles.
