Prof Bernard Tan, Director of the Centre for Maritime Studies, who is also a physics professor at NUS Faculty of Science, shared that in the early days, publishing the university exam results used to be matter of routine. He recalled that the practice exerted a certain amount of pressure on students, and noted that later on, grades became confidential.
