Why judges should not be moral arbiters

This was a review of the public lecture titled “Judges as Moral Arbiters” by The Honourable Antonin Scalia, Associate Justice of the US Supreme Court, which was held at the NUS Faculty of Law in conjunction with the Lee Kuan Yew Distinguished Visitors Programme. The late Justice Scalia believed that the most important issues have no right or wrong answers, and noted that the issues of social preferences can be expressed only through electoral process.
