Xi Jinping’s post-party congress challenges

In light of the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) that is set for 18 October 2017, Professorial Fellow John Wong from the East Asian Institute at NUS shared his views on the new challenges that President Xi Jinping will face, namely, how the CPC plans to build on its past success in reform and economic development. He opined that Mr Xi will find his economic reform agenda far more challenging than sustaining economic growth.
