Former CPF Deputy CEO Don Yeo to helm NUS administration
The National University of Singapore (NUS) today announced that Mr Don Yeo Yong Kiang, former Deputy CEO (Policy & Corporate Development) of the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board, will be appointed Deputy President (Administration) Designate at the University with effect from 1 August 2015. Mr Yeo, who was also Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer at the CPF Board, will succeed Mr Joseph Philip Mullinix from 1 January 2016.
NUS President Professor Tan Chorh Chuan said, "Don Yeo brings to NUS broad and deep leadership experience and expertise across many key administrative areas. We are delighted to welcome him on board to contribute towards advancing NUS ' overall vision, goals and strategies.
On behalf of the NUS community, I would also like to express our deepest appreciation to Joe Mullinix, who has made transformational and lasting contributions to the University in many areas during his nearly 10 years of service. In particular, his outstanding leadership was instrumental in the successful design and construction of the NUS University Town and Yale-NUS College campus."
Mr Yeo served in several positions at the CPF Board from December 2005 to June 2015, most recently as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Policy & Corporate Development), where he was responsible for policy, corporate development, human resources, organisational development, communications and risk management. He was also, concurrently, the Board 's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining the CPF Board, Mr Yeo had held appointments in the Institute of Public Administration Management at the Civil Service College, Ministry of Law, Shell, Ministry of Trade & Industry as well as the Prime Minister 's Office (Public Service Division).
He is currently a Board Member with the Singapore Examinations & Assessment Board, and a member of the Public Sector Committee, Singapore Chapter, CPA Australia.

Mr Mullinix will return to the US when he steps down as NUS Deputy President (Administration) on 1 January 2016, after nearly 10 years at the University. A highly respected administrator who, over the course of a remarkable career, had held senior positions in Columbia University, Yale University and University of California in the US, Mr Mullinix will retain a part-time appointment at NUS as Senior Advisor to the University President, particularly in regard to NUS ' partnerships and programmes in the US.
