A global crisis of water quality looms

Distinguished Visiting Prof Asit K Biswas from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS opined that advances have not been made to significantly reduce the levels of water pollution because of public apathy as well as a lack of political will and sustained media scrutiny. He observed that the growing middle class in countries are demanding better air and water quality and the onus is now on politicians and policy makers to listen and deal with the problems.
