Asean deserves a Nobel Peace Prize, says Kishore Mahbubani

A book titled The Asean Miracle: A Catalyst For Peace, was launched on 8 March by Guest-of-Honour Prof Wang Gungwu, Chairman of the Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy governing board, together with the authors Professor Kishore Mahbubani, Dean of the LKY School and Mr Jeffery Sng, a Southeast Asian historian. The book discusses Asean's achievements and the challenges ahead. Prof Mahbubani also shared in the book that Asean's success in ensuring peace, and economic and socio-political progress, in the world's most diverse region should merit a Nobel Peace Prize as it marks its 50th anniversary this year.
