Behavioural change can drive sustainability
Prof Ivan Png from the NUS Business School and the Dept of Economics at the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences opined that reducing energy consumption is a key step to achieving realistic sustainability. He added that to do this meaningfully, we need creative ways to overcome the behavioural challenges of sunk investments, behavioural lock-in, and organisational disincentives.
