Beyond Asimov’s three laws: the case for an International AI Agency
Professor Simon Chesterman, Dean of the NUS Faculty of Law, discussed the competing priorities that governments grapple with to reap the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) while minimising harm. He noted that that effectiveness in regulating AI on a global scale will require countries to agree on a framework they can stick to, and highlighted that efforts to police research in nuclear technology could provide a good starting point.
