Blood test for gastric cancer could be ready by year end

A team of researchers led by Assoc Prof Yeoh Khay Guan of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at NUS received a grant from National Medical Research Council for their development of a blood test for detecting early gastric cancer. If approved by the Health Science Authority, it will be the first such test in the world and may be available by the end of this year.
