Budget 2016: Prudent adjustments, reasonable, highly inclusive, and a Budget acceptable to most people

Assoc Prof Tan Khee Giap, Co-Director of the Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI) at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, as well as Mr Lian Xiao and Ms Xie Teleixi from ACI, observed that Budget 2016 is more targeted and able to integrate various strengths of different parties to assist the Singapore economy in transition. They noted that this would help to secure Singapore’s medium-term economic growth opportunities and allow future economists to manage its long-term strategic direction and growth.
