China and a G20 Summit mired by the effects of globalization
Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, discussed the challenges that China faces in organising the upcoming G20 Summit. He also highlighted that a successful G20 Summit would greatly benefit China and the rest of the world, as this would promote free trade and facilitate a consensus on globalisation, as well as attest of the pivotal role that China plays in promoting world development and prosperity.
