Economic policies in China focus on getting citizens to spend

Noting that the Chinese government has been focusing on getting citizens to put their money into the domestic market, Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, opined that successful economic reforms require public support, which can only be achieved when people feel that they benefit from the government's economic initiatives.
