EMBO elects first NUS-based Associate Member

Professor GV Shivashankar, Deputy Director of the Mechanobiology Institute at NUS, has been elected as an Associate Member of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO).

Prof Shivashankar, also an IFOM-NUS Chair Professor, is the first scientist from NUS and only the third Singapore-based scientist to be awarded the prestigious EMBO membership. This honour recognises his outstanding academic and research contributions to the emerging field of nuclear mechanogenomics.
