From living on earth to living with earth

Assoc Prof Matthew Chang from the Dept of Biochemistry at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, who is also Director at the NUS Synthetic Biology for Clinical and Technological Innovation and the Singapore Consortium for Synthetic Biology, opined that in a world increasingly threatened by environmental crises, energy woes and inequity, biology and biotechnology offer a chance to reinvent how civilisation works and in ways that allow humans and nature to flourish together.
