Genomics for the Smart Nation

Asst Prof Swaine Chen from the Dept of Medicine at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, who is also Senior Research Scientist at the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS), together with Dr Andreas Wilm from GIS, noted we can use DNA to diagnose Down syndrome, assess breast cancer risk, and to determine who might get side effects from a drug. The writers opined that Genomics, combined with cloud computing, is truly bringing us to a future where our reality may exceed our imagination.
